According to the NSW Legislative Assembly Distribution of Police Force on 1st January 1866 a police station had been established at Wollongong by 1866.In 2006 it was located in the Wollongong Local Area Command in the Southern Region. Its address and that of the Local Area Command Office was Church and Market Streets, Wollongong. (1)
