The Tooraweenah Police Station [I] was established in 1901. (1) The Station closed temporarily in 1944 and the "Police were withdrawn ... for duty at more important centres." (2) It is assumed that the area transferred to the Gilgandra patrol during the interval between police stations at Tooraweenah.Tooraweenah Police Station [II] opened on 11 June 1947.
