The Rankins Springs Police Station was established on 2 October 1928: (1) The Station closed on 8 June 1944 and Constable Collard was transferred to The Rock Police Station.(2) The area was amalgamated with that of Weethalle while the station was closed (3) but Constable Mountain (?) visited the station each Friday 'to attend to matters'. (4)Rankin's Springs Police Station [II] was re-opened by 5 March, 1947 (5)
