Wiseman's Ferry Court of Petty Sessions within the Windsor Police District was created on 5 August 1901 under the provisions of s.459 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1883 (46 Vic. No.17). (1)
The records of the St. Albans Court of Petty Sessions were transferred to the Wiseman's Ferry Court of Petty Sessions on 1 May 1933, when the St. Albans Court of Petty Sessions was abolished. (2)
The Wiseman's Ferry Court of Petty Sessions was abolished on 30 August 1974, under the provisions of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). Its records were removed to the Windsor Court of Petty Sessions under the provisions of s.77(2) of the Courts of Petty Sessions (Civil Claims) Act, 1970 (Act No.11, 1970). (3)
