Full description

Stewarts River Half-Time School in the county of Macquarie was established in August 1887. Half-Time Schools emerged to cater for children in areas of scattered population. The attendance of at least twenty children was required, in two groups of ten or more. The School shared a teacher with Kew Half-Time School from August 1887 until September 1892 and with Hannam Vale Part-Time School from October 1892 until December 1899. Stewarts River Half- Time School was closed December 1899. REFERENCE:
