Cleveland Street Boys Junior High School, in the county of Cumberland, was established in January 1951. Junior High Schools were separate secondary schools, which offered junior secondary education only. The School was converted into a high school in January 1956. High Schools offer secondary education and increasingly became comprehensive. In January 1982, Cleveland Street Boys High School merged with Waterloo High School to form Cleveland Street High School.
