The second provisional school at Dartbrook in the county of Brisbane was established in January 1954. A Provisional school was one in which the parents supplied accommodation for the school and the Department of Education provided the teacher, books and other teaching materials. The Provisional School was converted to a Public School in November 1957 and continued to operate until December, 1972. A previous provisional (later public) school had been conducted at Dartbrook during the years 1925 and 1951. Reference
