The inaugural meeting of the Academic Regulations Sub-Committee of the Riverina College of Advanced Education (RCAE) was convened on 22 November 1984. (1) Approval for the establishment of the Committee was given by the College Board resolution CB 84/83, and as such the Committee reported directly to the College Board, the principal academic body of the College. (2) The the Committee was comprised of:
- the Dean of Studies;
- the Praelector;
- two members of the College/Academic Board nominated by the Board itself;
- the Registrar; and
- a student member of the College/Academic Board. (3)
The terms of reference approved for the Academic Regulations Sub-Committee were:
- to monitor the academic regulations of the College/Institute and make recommendations to the College/Academic Board thereon;
- to act as the final adviser to the College/Academic Board on all changes suggested to academic regulations; and
- to advise the College/Academic Board on any other matters referred to it by the Board. (4)
The final meeting of the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education (RMIHE) Academic Regulations Sub-Committee was held on 12 April 1989. (5) After this meeting the Committee was disbanded. Endnotes:
