Kippenduff Provisional School at Wyan Creek in the County of Richmond opened in 1951 and in June 1951 changed its name to Wyan Creek Provisional School. (1) A provisional school is an elementary school established in areas where at least nine pupils could be expected to attend. (2)
In November 1957 the school was converted to a public school until its closure in February 1958. (3)
A previous school operated in the area. (4)
