Full description

There was a previous Court of Petty Sessions at Tinonee that operated between 4 March 1870 and 7 January 1873.  See AG/3393.

Tinonee Court of Petty Sessions [II] within the Manning River Police District was re-established on 30 October 1878 under the provisions of s.17 of the Offenders Punishment and Justices Summary Jurisdiction Act of 1832 (3 Wil.IV No.3). (1)

The Tinonee Court of Petty Sessions [II] was abolished on 14 September 1888 under the provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1883 (46 Vic. No.17). (2)

There were two subsequent Courts of Petty Sessions at Tinonee between 16 July 1889 and 16 May 1894 and 31 October 1899 and 1 June 1905. (3)
