Colly Blue Provisional School [II] was established in County Pottinger in September 1950. (1) Provisional schools were established in areas where at least 15 children were required to attend. (2)

In November 1957 the School was converted to a public school, operating in that capacity until its closure in May 1973. (3) A public school offers basic elementary education at a primary school level. (4)

A previous provisional school had been conducted at Colly Blue between January 1918 and October 1920. (5) A previous public school was conducted at Colly Blue between January 1885 and December 1887. (6)
