Full description
Piccabeen Provisional School was established in County Rous in February 1911. (1) Provisional Schools were established in areas where at least 15 children were required to attend. (2)
In July 1913 the school was converted to a public school. (3) A Public School offers basic elementary education at a primary school level. (4)
The school was re-named Piggabeen Public School in October 1916 and continued to operate in this capacity until its closure in June 1974. (5)
