Codrington Public School [II] was established in Counties of Richmond and Rous in January 1886, operating in this capacity until its closure in September 1933. (1) A Public School offers basic elementary education at a primary school level. (2)
The school was preceded by several provisional and one public school operating at various times commencing in 1872. (3) A Provisional School was later established at Codrington in January 1937. (4)
