Full description

The Communications Branch was established by 30 June, 1999 as a result of a survey by the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning which aimed to determine community perceptions of the role of the Department. The stakeholders reinforced the need for a planning agency with state-wide responsibility but recommended improvements in the processes of consultation and communication. The Communications branch was formed to work in partnership with its stakeholders and deliver the necessary services . The role of the branch was to influence and work in partnership with associated agencies and the community. (1) End Notes:
