Full description

Bourke Police Station was established by 1863. It is then listed on a Return shewing the Distribution of the Police Force on 31st March 1865. It is shown in 1865 as located in the Western District with a staff of one mounted Senior Sergeant and two mounted Constables. (1)

1894 North Bourke established; 1914 North Bourke Police Station was abolished and it is likely that the business was absorbed by Bourke Police Station.

In 2008 Bourke Police Station was located in the Darling River Local Area Command within the Western Region. In 2008 its address was 46 Oxley Street, Bourke. (2)
