Full description

Milton Court of Petty Sessions [I] within the Dowling Police District was created on 30 April 1877 under the provisions of s.17 of the Offenders Punishment and Justices Summary Jurisdiction Act of 1832 (3 Wil.IV No.3). (1)

The Milton Court of Petty Sessions [I] within the Shoalhaven Police District was abolished on 9 October 1918 under the provisions of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). (2)

There were subsequent Courts of Petty Sessions at Milton from 2 December 1918 to 17 August 1940 and 2 January 1941 to 31 December 1984.  See AG/2134 and AG/2135.
