An earlier Court of Petty Sessions was conducted at Girilambone between 1882 and 1886. (1)
Girilambone Court of Petty Sessions [II] within the Nyngan Police District was created on 23 October 1899 under the provisions of s.459 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1883 (46 Vic. No.17). (2)
The Girilambone Court of Petty Sessions [II] was abolished on 30 September 1970, under the provisions of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). Its records were removed to the Nyngan Court of Petty Sessions, under the provisions of s.77(2) of the Courts of Petty Sessions (Civil Claims) Act, 1970 (Act No.11, 1970).(3)
