Carrathool Court of Petty Sessions, within the Hay Police District, was created on 28 July 1884 under the provisions of s.459 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1883 (46 Vic. No.17). (1)
The Carrathool Court of Petty Sessions was abolished on 31 July 1974, under the provisions of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). Its records were removed to the Hay Court of Petty Sessions, under the provisions of s.77(2) of the Courts of Petty Sessions (Civil Claims) Act, 1970 (Act No.11, 1970). (2)
