Brownsville Court of Petty Sesssion was established within the Wollongong Police District on 8 December 1899 under s.459 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1883 (46 Vic. No.17). (1)
The Brownsville Court of Petty Sessions, within the Wollongong Police District, was abolished from 30 November 1907 under the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). A Court of Petty Sessions was established at Dapto on 1 December 1907. (2)
