Full description

Bodalla Court of Petty Sessions [II] within the Police District of Moruya was created on 1 February 1926 under the provisions of s.5 of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). (1)

The records of the Nerrigundah Court of Petty Sessions were transferred to the Bodalla Court of Petty Sessions [II] on 1 February 1926 when the Nerrigundah Court of Petty Sessions was abolished. (2)

The Bodalla Court of Petty Sessions [II] was abolished on 31 July 1971 under the provisions of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). Its records were removed to the Moruya Court of Petty Sessions, under the provisions of s.77(2) of the Courts of Petty Sessions (Civil Claims) Act, 1970 (Act No.11, 1970). (3)

A Court of Petty Sessions at Bodalla had previously been announced as being both established and abolished on 1 November 1925. (4)
