Alstonville Court of Petty Sessions within the Richmond River Police District was established on 2 June 1910 under the provisions of s.5 of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). (1)
The boundaries of the Police District had been published in the NSW Government Gazette on 30 May 1899. (2)
The Alstonville Court of Petty Sessions was abolished on 30 May 1969 under the provisions of the Justices Act, 1902 (Act No.27, 1902). Its records were removed to the Lismore Court of Petty Sessions, under the provisions of s.4A(2) of the Small Debts Recovery (Amendment) Act, 1922 (Act No.4, 1922). (3)
