Full description Infections caused by antimicrobial resistant bacteria are a top global health priority due to limited therapeutic options. Genomics has the potential to be a powerful tool for control of antimicrobial resistant pathogens, improving detection, management and prevention of outbreaks. I will develop novel genomic methods that can bridge the gap between research and implementation of genomics in a clinical setting. This has the potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
