Full description We designed a drug carrier that can boost the delivery of drugs into the brain. We now want to enhance this even further using externally applied, non-invasive focused ultrasound. Focused ultrasound is a safe technique that selectively disrupts the blood-brain barrier, increasing its permeability to drugs within the central nervous system. Outcomes will validate our ultrasound-mediated delivery strategy in Motor Neuron Disease models and will guide further preclinical testing for this disease.
