Prof Adrian Matthew Linacre
Adrian Linacre is the inaugural Chair in Forensic DNA Technologies at Flinders University. The main interest is in low level DNA typing both for human identification and in wildlife studies. Direct PCR has been a focus of work leading to being able to generate DNA profiles from touched items and from fingermarks. Direct PCR from hairs and nails has been published by members of his research group. Wildlife studies and in particular species testing is a key part of his international profile with work on rhino horn, ivory and tiger parts. Adrian in Associate Editor of Forensic Science International Genetics and on the editorial board of 3 other journals.
