Full description HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is almost 100% effective at preventing HIV acquisition. If scaled up, it can reduce HIV transmissions to zero. Major barriers to scale-up of effective PrEP use in key populations remain. My research program will address these gaps by improving oral PrEP services in Australia and Indonesia, evaluating the effectiveness and implementation of long-acting injectable PrEP in Australia, and identify implementation barriers to injectable PrEP in Indonesia.
