Statement: QUALITY OF DATA USED IN THE ASSESSMENT
This varies, as noted throughout the assessment. Some study populations have annual surveys while others are more episodic/opportunistic. The ASG workshop undertook an extensive literature compilation/review and expert solicitation to assess threats assessment (Woehler and Baker 2020). Species’ assessments in Garnett and Baker (in press) typically authored by investigators working on individual species, drawing on expertise and unpublished data. All other studies published in primary journals have been peer-reviewed.
