Brief description
Summer (December to February) average temperature anomaly of daily maximum temperatures (annual average of the monthly mean daily maximum temperature deseasonalised by the summer mean for 1971–2000) smoothed with a 5-year running mean for Mawson (left-hand scale) and Macquarie Island (right-hand scale). Note that the scales have the same range, but are offset by 3 °C for clarity.\r\n\r\nClimate data from Bureau of Meteorology.
