This dataset contains data on the Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) created since the establishment of the Commonwealth-supported Cooperative Research Centre Program in 1990. It aims to capture and chart the history and evolution of this program.

The profile of each CRC contains the following data: Name and alternative names; date of establishment and closure; functions, or disciplines it relates to; web address; a brief summary of the CRC's work; a timeline of previous and subsequent related CRCs and a list of other related organisations.
