Brief description
The Xander-Q software delivers an integrated solution, by combining CSIRO’s leading-edge data-constrained modelling (DCM) and materials modelling technologies with industrial X-ray CT equipment. This will allow quality certification of AM components for critical applications, boosting the competitive advantage of Australian industry. The technology developed can be adapted to other industries such as mineral exploration. The Xander-Q software is a 64-bit Java-based Windows desktop application. which has a plugin-based architecture to allow functional modules to be added to extend its functionality. This enables developing new features for new user requirements. Three core plugin types have been developed and are available within the installation package:
•\tCommand-line plugin: provides an user interface to access operating system functions or services and a control mechanism to handle communicating processes.
•\tData-constrained modelling (DCM) plugin: provides subroutines to access a number of data analysis functions from DCM application.
•\tTomo server plugin: provides an interface to connect CSIRO Tomo server for X-ray CT reconstruction.
The Xander-Q software license is available from CSIRO. Password-protected downloading of the source code is open to the Xander-Q project software code development team, at https://data.csiro.au/collections/collection/CIcsiro:47708.
