Full description

This series of Valuation books from the Borough of Wagga Wagga (later the Wagga Wagga City Council) records the valuation of properties as assessed. The volumes provide the following information: assessment number; owner's name, and trade or occupation; address of the property; occupiers name, and trade or occupation; house number or name;'notice of sale and transfer file reference number; nature of building and/or deposited plan; portion, section and allotment numbers; dimensions of block; frontage and depth; and total area in acres, roods and perches. Most importantly the unimproved capital value, improved capital value, and assessed annual value for the year ending the 31st of December. Finally, there is a column provided to add any general remarks.

Each volume is set out to enable three years worth of information to be recorded (for example 1932-34).
