UniSA's Division of Health Sciences provides undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees for over 7,000 students. Encompassing the schools of Health Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, Population Health and the Sansom Institute for Health Research, UniSA's premier health and biomedical research concentration, the Division focuses on education and research concerning the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of health problems. Committed to building effective relationships with business, industry and government, the Division offers programs relevant to the needs of health professionals and communities. Students benefit from these links, with high profile researchers and industry professionals providing experience-based input into the curriculum. The Division
places strong emphasis on practice-based learning, with significant investment in teaching facilities. Students learn within modern purpose-built laboratories and on-campus clinics that service the community, while providing students with valuable hands-on experience.
