In the course of developing Soldier Settlement and Land Settlement Estates the Rural Finance Commission and its predecessor agencies developed a range of standard designs for houses, sheds, other farm buildings and fences.

This series consists of plans, specifications and blueprints for these facilities. These records only relate to a limited type of facilities (mainly dairy and fences) and represent the extant collection rather than the entire range of standard designs available to settlers.
