Brief description
The Australian Antarctic Division carried out a traverse to the Amery Ice Shelf in the summer of 1964. Numerous snow pits were dug along the traverse, and studies carried out to examine the snow in the area. Information on the the snow density, hardness, stratigraphy and snow temperature were recorded, and are summarised in this report.Records for this work have been archived at the Australian Antarctic Division.
