Brief description This project aims to develop methods for identifying more resilient animals in our livestock productions systems. A key part of the project is development of new measures which can assess the emotional components of animal well-being. Using these methods we will be able to better understand how farming practices impact animal well-being and be able to improve management practices to enhance animal welfare and productivity.
