Full description

This series consists of the main system of registered correspondence files of the College. During the period 1942 to 1962, the files were arranged numerically in one single running number sequence, which sporadically included a year prefix. During the course of 1962, the single running number sequence recommenced from 1. 

The files relate to: syllabuses; the introduction of new, and review of existing, subjects; involvement in the war effort during the Second World War; the post-war Commonwealth Reconstruction Training Scheme; policy re accidents; training of overseas students under the Colombo Plan; purchase of major equipment; research projects; enrolment of aliens in courses during the Second World War; and relations with the Newcastle Technical Education District Council.
