Regency Park Primary School opened in 1977 as a co-educational primary school in a popular residential estate in Wantirna, at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, 30 km east of Melbourne.

By 2000, the school comprised eight permanent classrooms, six portable classrooms, an art and craft facility, a multi-purpose room, a library, and a computer laboratory.

By 2023, enrolments had grown to approximately 550 students, and the school’s facilities had expanded to include an artificial turf sports ground, multiple basketball courts, upgraded play equipment, a carpeted hall with a stage, a library, an art room, a music room, a STEM room, and breakout learning areas.

As of 2025, Regency Park Primary School remains in operation.
