Full description

The Weather Station is a metrological station situated in the Yarrimundi Paddock of the University of Western Sydney off of Southee Road, Richmond, NSW. The station started collecting data in June 2011. The ambient meteorological data collection includes: - Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density Air temperature Relative Humidity - Wind speed and direction Precipitation by tipping bucket - Manual rain gauge - Short wave and long wave radiation - Net radiation Leaf wetness - Soil temperature - Soil moisture. The data is used in correlation with the Rainout Shelters environmental sensors and the Hawkesbury Forest Experiment. Funding bodies of the project include Australian Federal Government Education Investment Fund and University of Western Sydney.
