Quo Warrant briefs relate to inquiries into the basis of the authority by which a person exercised a franchise or an office. They may be used against those who may be deemed to claim or usurp an office unlawfully. This writ is able to be brought by both the Crown and a person.

This series consists of the applications for writs of Quo Warranto brought in the Supreme Court . Files may include the Writ of Quo Warranto or the Information filed with the Court, affidavits in support of the application, recognizances to appear, Rules Nisi and Rules Absolute brought down by the Court and orders for Costs.
