Brief description

NSW Land Parcel Property Theme - NSW Cadastre Service

\n\n

\nNSW Cadastre web service is a dynamic map of cadastral features extracted\nfrom the Land and Property theme of the NSW Foundation Spatial Data Framework\n(FSDF). It provides access to a state wide integrated database and a component\nof the foundation spatial datasets within the New South Wales. A ‘cadastre’ is\nan official register of property showing boundaries. The Land Parcel\n theme contains current land titles only.

\n\n

Lot :-

Depicts a parcel of land created on a survey plan. Each lot may be\nrepresented by standard lots, standard part lots, strata or stratum. Each lot\nhas a lot number, section number, plan lot area, plan number, plan label, ITS\ntitle status, and stratum label.

\n\n

Road:-
\nRepresents dedicated public roads which are open ways for the passage of\nvehicles, persons or animals on land. The road dataset includes public roads in\nuse. Each road type has a section number, plan number, plan label, ITS title\nstatus, road type, road width or Crown/Council width, lot number, and stratum\nlabel.

\n\n

Unidentified:-
\nRepresents a parcel of land that cannot be identified. Crown land, vested,\ndedicated and severed land may be included in this category as well as Old\nSystem lots for which lot/DP identification cannot be found. This dataset also\nidentifies the locations of 100ft wide reserves, ACT regions, closed roads,\ncrossings, surveyed areas, and un-surveyed areas.

\n\n

Water Feature:-
\nRepresents tidal, non-tidal and ocean waters which form a cadastral boundary.

\n\n\n\n

The NSW Cadastral web service can be used for resource management,\nenvironmental management, land use planning, agriculture management, emergency\nmanagement and recreational purposes. This service can be used to aggregate\ninformation for analytical purposes. Cadastral boundary data in combination\nwith geocoded address data, imagery, demographic information and agency\nspecific business information underpins the ability to perform high quality\nspatial analysis.

The dataset maintains a positional\n relationship to, and alignment with, the Lot and Property digital datasets.\n This dataset was captured by digitising the best available cadastral mapping\n at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000\n according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, Standards of Map\n Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be\n within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That is, 1:500\n = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and\n 1:100000 = 50m. A program of positional upgrade (accuracy improvement) is\n currently underway.
