These are the exhibits of the inquiry held under s.475 of the Crimes Act 1900 to inquire into the conviction, on 5 March 1965, of Alexander McLeod-Lindsay for the attempted murder of his wife. The inquiry was conducted by Mr Justice Loveday who was nominated for this role by the Chief Justice on 28 August 1990.
The exhibits comprise the police brief; committal depositions; the transcript of the 1969 Lee enquiry, and of McLeod-Lindsay's trial; the Sydney Hospital medical file; material relating to forensic witnesses; and photographs and statements of witnesses. Included are four video tapes and an audio cassette tape.
Copies of exhibits and a bundle of exhibits used in the inquiry before Justice Lee in 1969 are also included in this series.
