Nominal Register of Patients

Full description

This series consists of the Nominal Register of Patients at the Mont Park Hospital for the Insane. Patients admitted to the Hospital between July 1912 and April 1924 are recorded in this volume. The Nominal Register was created to record the names of all patients on the books of the Asylum. Both patients in residence and those out on trial leave were included.

The volume is arranged alphabetically by the patient's surname and then chronologically by date of admission within the alphabetical listings.

Details recorded are:

date of admission,
name of patient,
date of discharge/transfer/death,
how discharged.

Between 1915 and 1924 the main central ward at Mont Park was used as a convalescent Military Hospital. Those patients admitted to the Military Hospital are recorded in this volume together with the civilian cases admitted to Mont Park.
