Neath Infants School, in the County of Northumberland, opened in August 1913. An Infants School is a Public School enrolling only the youngest children. The School was converted to a Public School in February 1917. Public Schools are basic elementary schools in the New South Wales education system. When the Neath Public School was established an attendance of twenty children was required to maintain a school of this category. Neath Public School closed in December 1971.
