Matters relating to Commonwealth legislation were dealt with by the Court of Petty Sessions held on the 7th Floor of the Commonwealth Bank Chambers, 108-120 Pitt Street and later by the Phillip Street Court of Petty Sessions. These informations were received by the Court in support of first instance warrants served under Commonwealth law. The warrants relate to contravention of the following Commonwealth laws: National Security Act, 1939-43; Crimes Act, 1914-66; Customs Act, 1901-54; Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1905-50; and the Banking (Foreign Exchange) Regulations.
