Brief description

The Electricity Transmission Lines Database presents the spatial location; in line format, all known high voltage electricity transmission lines that make up the electricity transmission network within Australia.

Statement: The electricity transmission lines were digitized in 2011 (Version 1) from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia. Imagery used ranged from 0.15m to 2.5m resolution. The electricity transmission lines dataset was revised (Version 2) in March 2017 using Esri World Imagery. Data is compatible with GDA2020.

Purpose
The purpose of this dataset is to spatially represent the electricity transmission lines to support a range of government programs in resources, energy, planning, investment and emergency management.
