The series comprises project drawings and engineering markups relating to the electrification or upgrade of lines.

Included are earlier drawings that have been reviewed and filed in light of a new project developed or underway such as the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop or Gippsland Line Electrification.

These records were created by the Engineering Services Electrical Traction System Design Department and were created alongside a variety of temporary records including: traction electricity accounts, correspondence and working papers.
