Data files of discovery proteomics of ten cultivars of Perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne sp.). Data files of targeted proteomics of ten cultivars of Perennial ryegrass and ten cultivars of wheat.Liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was applied to study the proteome of Perennial ryegrass grains. Proteins with homology to gluten were selected for relative quantitation to validate the presence of gluten-like peptides in perennial ryegrass. Simultaneously, the same peptides were measure in 10 cultivars of wheat (Triticum aestivum) to determine which peptides could be useful for differentiating wheat gluten contamination from ryegrass gluten contamination.
Lineage
The data was produced from ten cultivars of perennial ryegrass and ten cultivars of wheat. Studies of discovery proteomics were performed in TripleTOF® 6600 mass spectrometer (SCIEX). Studies of relative quantitation were performed in Shimadzu Nexera UHPLC and analysed with a 6500 QTRAP mass spectrometer (SCIEX).Data time period: 2020-01-01 to 2021-03-31
