Brief description
Professor Per Davidsson is Director Director and Talbot Family Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship at the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research (ACE) in the QUT Business School (Management). Per is especially known for his extensive research on start-up and growth of small firms as well as societal well-being and job creation effects of those activities. Apart from many books, book chapters and research reports he has published over 50 peer reviewed articles in, e.g., Strategic Management Journal, Regional Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, and Journal of Business Venturing, including the most cited articles ever published in the latter two journals. He has also consulted for companies and international organizations. Per was an elected Officer of the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management for the 2007-12 period and served as its Chair in 2010/11. He is Field Editor of Journal of Business Venturing and serves on the editorial boards for several other journals. He has led several major research programs including the Comprehensive Australian Study of Entrepreneurial Emergence (CAUSEE) which attracted the largest ARC Discovery grant awarded to business/economics in its year of application.User Contributed Tags
