A biographical note for Mr Lipscomb has not yet been prepared, however the following notes may assist in placing the records created by him into their context. Alan Price Lipscomb born 16 September 1898. First appointed 25/11/1918. Surveyor (Western Land Board) 16 June 1930. "Mr Lipscomb also had service under the Water Conservation and Irrigation Commission as from 23rd February, 1916".- Public Service List 1931 p.78 He was a Surveyor until at least 1938, but had apparently ceased to work in this office by 1946(Source: Public Service List 1938, p. 84)
