These volumes provide a record of state-wide correspondence classified by the Board of Fire Commissioners as "A" (possibly Administrative) Letters. These volumes covered accidents, fire protection measures, chemical retardants, property inspections, valuation notices, staff circulars, and Brigade expenditure. It also involved specific listing of matters arising from the application of the Factories Act plus the actions of Municipal and Shire Councils.
