Brief description

OFAM2-1-AN is an archive of data from version 2.1 of OceanMAPS - the Ocean Modelling, Analysis, and Prediction System (Brassington et al. 2007; Sandery et al. 2011) "Australia's" operational, short-range ocean forecast system. OceanMAPS was developed under BLUElink, and first became operational at the Bureau of Meteorology in September 2007. Data includes daily mean fields of velocity, temperature, salinity, and sea-level on a 0.1 degree grid for the Australian region (90-180E, 60S-20N).

This is purely a description of the forcing dataset used within the MARine Virtual Laboratory (MARVL).
